> The Lang Archive is dedicated to the recovered material by composer, and researcher Arthur Lang (1948–2001). His final recordings were recently used as source material for the album LOOPS (released February 27). The vast majority of his earlier work, however, remains missing. We believe fragments may exist across old websites, limited physical media, and unpublished writings but so far very little has been tracked down.
> The project and the Noiris Collective were started by Iris Lang, Arthur’s daughter, who shared a small, personal collection of tapes, sketches, and notes that had never been made public. Some of these suggest that Lang was intentionally embedding private systems and cryptic references into his work. What those systems were for, or how they were meant to be read, is still unclear.
> We are looking for help from anyone who might recognize patterns, technical methods or references that we are missing, as well as any information at all about Lang’s older projects or releases.
> Noiris Collective is a private, independent preservation group. We’re a small team of people with a shared obsession for obscure media, forgotten internet culture, and the lost corners of the web.

> Our work is mostly investigative. We track down leads, recover rare data, and document what we find to make sure these things aren’t lost to time. Because our searches can get pretty deep and involve sensitive finds, we keep the group small and operate on an invite-only basis.

> We’re big believers in collaboration, but we prefer to keep it focused. When we hit a wall or find a mystery that needs a specific set of eyes, we reach out to others. Archivists, cryptography nerds, musicians, researchers, hobbyists, we want to find the people who live for a good mystery and have the focus to help us solve them!
